Project Design Flow
Our typical project design flow is as follows:
- Client Consultation
- Before we begin the design process, we get to know our clients. We then program the site and customize the space based on our client’s needs, uses, and requirements.
- Base Plan
- Since an accurate base plan is the foundation of a successful project, we ensure our base plan shows the site in its existing condition, including plant materials, trees, all hardscape and softscape features, and elevations.
- Master Plan
- This is a scaled 2D CAD drawing showing the job scope in graphic form. Not only does the masterplan give the client a definitive layout for their space but it also provides a platform where the construction budget can be provided. This plan can also be used to inform potential owners and other stakeholders of present and future plans for a site.
- 3D Drawings and Renderings
- Most people have difficulty reading 2D plans; 3D renderings give the client, designer, and all installation trades a clear picture of the finished product. This will ultimately save time and money during construction.
- Working Drawings
- Working drawings are developed for construction. These technical drawings include plans with detailed specifications for tender documents for grading and drainage, structures, hardscapes, planting, electrical, irrigation, water features, and more.
